The Emails My Mom Sends Me: Post #2

So my mom sends only a couple emails per month. Her communication with me through email has gone down since I began high school. She now mostly only sends texts or gives me the occasional call. However those rare emails are gems of their own. These emails aren't just typical emails, no, they are my mom's emails.

To this day I have yet to understand the mind of my mom, it's an anomaly to me. It is a confusing web of genius. insanity, anger, fight, heart, and motherly love. To exemplify what goes on in my mom's brain and the relationship I have with her is best understood through her emails. Each one represents a side of my mother and how our relationship works.

These are the emails my mom sent me last month (January) and this current month.

February 3rd - We shall will start with the most recent email in which my mom sent me an email about the super bowl ads. My mom does not work in advertising but she takes time to pay attention about my interest hence an email about "The 10 Best Super Bowl Ads" from ADWEEK.

January 30th - my mom sent me an email about Farfetch a clothing conglomerate that both my mother and I are invested in. I told my mom a couple months ago to invest in a company called Qualcomm, from when I told her to invest to today Qualcomm has risen roughly around 50% per share. So when I begged my mom to invest in Farfetch, a website she uses, she didn't hesitate. Now my mom and I talk about the stock periodically, seeing how much it has grown.

January 27th - I was sent this long email that contain a plot summary of show I had never heard about which was then followed by a boldly capitalized message containing a long-winded apology from my mother. I laughed at that end of the email because my mom who rarely apologizes apologized for sending me an email. Awww mom! I guess she does miss me.

January 27th - Prior to my mother's apology email, she sent me quite a peculiar email about a book she is reading called "Boys & Sex, Young Men on Hookups, Love, Porn, Consent, and Navigating New Masculinity." Honestly I don't know even what to say to email of this kind and further more how to explain this email on my blog. The best thing I can say is my mom is never afraid to speak her mind even if it has to with any of the topics in the title of the book. This is why I never bring people over to my house.

January 20th - Awww my dog Cookie, always good email to receive.

January 15th - One of my favorite emails I have received from my mom this month, a cute video of panda. I absolutely love pandas, and a cute video of them, that can really can my mood. Mother's always know when and how to help their children. Thanks mom!

January 7th - My mom emailed me a photo of my dog and I laying on her bed. I was so tired from a night of "fun" with the parents that I gave up on moving. My dog then come right over and his put his face on my arm. Mom wanted this photo for herself but decided I should have it too, just encase I decide to miss home for once.
