I Bought An iPhone: Post #8

For most people, buying an iPhone is not a big deal, it is a normal process that occurs every couple of years when one needs a new phone. However, for me it is a very big deal. The first phone I ever received was my dad's old Samsung 4, I was so happy. I was one of the first people in middle school to have a phone and it was fantastic. It had games, I could call people, endless opportunities. The trend of my dad giving me his old phone when he got a new one continued, throughout middle school and into junior high school. It was great, my dad's phones were never cracked or broken, they were just a tad slow or too outdated for my dad but for me they were amazing. I didn't ask for my very own phone until I was in 7th grade, I begged my dad for HTC One M7, advertised with BOOM SPEAKERS (HTC Commerical). It was so cool, my dad caved in and got me the HTC One M7 for my birthday. Oh was that phone something, it was fast, had good speakers, came with earbuds, pretty much everything a 7th grader wanted. However, the best part was, I could now talk to girls. Oh that HTC One M7, ah, a dream of a phone. Then it got slow and I moved on, to a waterproof Samsung S8, it was terrible looking, however I could play music in the shower, throw it across rooms without a scratch. Oh, 8th grade Chase killed it with his Samsung. Then high school hit, everyone had iPhones, no one had Androids, no one had those cool weird phones that each had some type of uniqueness to them, no they all had basic iPhones. iPhones were in, how can I disagree with the sleek design of an iPhone.

For years I was made fun of for not having iPhone but I didn't care, I had my wonderful Androids, they had all the same functions of iPhone for half the cost and they all came with unique cool features not apart of the iPhone. Yet they didn't matter to my friends, they always circled back to the same things: "Why is camera quality so bad," "Why do you have green text," "You don't have Face Time," the list goes on and on, to non-Android users, Android are terrible. Apple users never see the value and uniqueness of Androids, they only see bad camera quality.

So why did I buy an iPhone, for years I hated them, stood against them and vowed to never buy one. So why did I get an iPhone. Well the question for the most part is simple, it was time. I am still going to be an Android person, I used to have a mac and now I have PC, I like my PC much better. I had an Android and now I have iPhone. It was time for me to experience the other side, I do have to say that having iPhone is very fun, I can now play cup pong with my friends, Face Time them whenever I want, I can now also use the app my friend developed. So there are many benefits for me having iPhone. I will always be an Android person but for now I will be Face Timing no longer Skyping.

RIP HTC One M7,
Miss you
